Dear Friends of NF Tennessee, Hope you all are doing good! We are excited to announce our third annual Laptop Giveaway and second annual NF Summer Camp Scholarship Programs, beginning tomorrow, February 14th, 2022 with a deadline for submission of applications on May 17th, 2022, World NF Awareness Day. We are hoping to provide five free laptops this year as well as five NF camp scholarships. Applications are attached. Last week kicked off the NF events for 2022. The NF Network had its annual Congressional Advocacy Program, with individuals from each state meeting with their US Representatives and Senators to ask for support for legislation directing money specifically for NF research. This has been a very successful program over the years. Ms. Breanna Bronowski-Stustman from NF Network and I met with staff from most of the Tennessee congressional delegation offices, and there is a lot of support for NF research among our Tennessee legislators. February 12 was also the annual Nashville Cupid's Undie Run supporting the Children's Tumor Foundation, and it is great to know that there is also support for NF research out in the streets of Tennessee. For upcoming events check out our NF Tennessee website calendar. We hope to have our first Zoom meeting in April (date to be announced) and then May is NF Awareness Month!
